Development: Small scale projects with direct involvement of all parties.

Development by Rainbow Foundation Nepal begins by clarifying the underlying issues and in providing basic necessities. From here we can create future development opportunities. We believe that only giving money creates a bigger issue and a dependency with no future sustainability. This does not fit the Rainbow Foundation Nepal vision. Poverty is not just related to finances. People who grow up in poverty often have little or no training in dealing with finances. The problem solving abilities that Westerners take for granted are less developed in Nepal. In practice, Rainbow Foundation Nepal supports local organisations as required and requested. From this collaboration, a project is launched with the intent that after a period in time, it can work independently and be self sufficient. With the exception of financial resources, everything is available in Nepal. It is up to us to locate what is underneath the surface and to provide the financial resources. We believe in small, direct projects, the commitment of both parties (the Nepalese people and the Rainbow Foundation Nepal) as a prerequisite for a project to begin. It is also a prerequisite for a joint project to be truly successful. This is according to the Rainbow Foundation Nepal development aid.
